can anybody tell me what covers the end oof the tailhousing, looks like some sort of plate is missing at the gear lever end??? also where to get a replacement ive searched everywhere, thanks in advance
nothing thats where you stick the prop in!

If you mean the cover just behind the gear lever above the prop then it's just a thin core plug like part. It may still be possible to get one from Fords or Burtons? A plastic disc cut to fit and held in with a bit of Areldite ,silicon etc would do the job just a well

its not needed as that is where your gearlever extension goes through, nothing will fall out
As above - it's just something to keep the dirt out of the mechanism at the bottom of the gearstick. I'd cut a bit of aluminium to fit, then stick it in with silicone (don't use epoxy, as you may want to get it out again).

Wrong!
" Thanks everybody for your quick replies, and "humour" do you pack this area with grease????
no need to "pack" with grease, i have just made sure the interlocking parts of the linkage are well greased.
