I need some help priming my fuel pump, I have one the FSE ones and when powered up I can here it go for a few seconds and it goes quite. Please be nice, I don't know what am doing

How have you connected it to the fuel rail and regulator Femi ?

The regulator end is the return to the tank. If you have the pump to this the pump will build presure and cut out.

How do you have it wired ? on a normal tintop it is controlled by the engine management system the pump runs for a set period then stops unless the engine is actually running.

Injection pump will be running all the time the engine is running, it will cut out after a few seconds if the ECU does not see the engine running as a safety feature in a crash. So turn on the ignition, the pump will start and if the engine is started the pump will run till the ignition is turned off. If the engine is not started it will time out and only restart when the ECU gets a signal from the crank sensor seeing the flywheel turning.

There is a 12v wire on the premier loom to the positive terminal and the earth to the chassis. I connected to the fuel rail and a regulator at the end. with a return like to the fuel tank. No pressure on the regulator guage and no return to tank.

Femi , the pump is operated via the ecu. NOT just connected to the prem' loom.

The tank will feed the pump-Inj filter- Fuel rail then from the regulator back to the tank.

stick up a pic of what you are trying todo Femi ??

If you connect the pump to the premier loomas per the instructions, it will run as soon as you turn the ignition key and stop when you turn the key off.

I will be interupting the circuit with a relay controlled by the ecu.

Are you sure you fuel rail is open ended?

yeah . I removed the supply line to the fuel rail and connected it to a small 4.5 gallon and nothing came through as well.

Have you checked the polarity is ok. Its easy to have it blowing bubles lol
