Zetec engine sump clearance

I have got my bonnet and nose cone fitted now and I'm trying to sort the engine possition.

I have a 2.0l zetec with a modifided steel sump. The engine and bottom of the gearbox sit about 2 inches below the chassis.
Will this be ok or should it sit higher?

The zetec with a scholar sump in my fury sits flush with the chassis but you havnt said how far your chassis is from the ground? It does sound a little on the low side though.

The chassis isn't on its wheels yet so not sure how far it will be from the ground.

You ideally want the sump the same hight (or higher up than) the type 9 bell housing.

about an inch or less below the bottom chassis rail is usually considered acceptable.
