My car on the rollers...

Little Vid from AW tracksport.

The car was trying to climb off the rollers to start with, once we got it strapped down it gave some very healthy numbers but more importantly everything was working very well. The exhaust design really helped.

Great blokes at AW tracksport and the CAV GT40's are awesome.

Awesome mate fair play, that's going to be an intereating drive to say the least. Well done

338bhp..... not reading too much into that though, its power curve is just about perfect for a lightweight car and its running showing no fault codes on the ECU

Proby - 4/8/11 at 09:35 PM

That's awesome franky!!

I'm new to this locost stuff, what chassis are you using mate?
I've got a Haynes Roadster chassis coming and fancied fitting a BMW M52 2.8 in there and wondered what 'issues' you had to overcome?

Cheers,
Nick

Cheers all.

Its an m3 evo drivetrain. GKD chassis. It does drive really really nicely, so smooth and docile(when you want it to be).

i had an evo and it was a great car, the engine is brilliant and surprisingly economical. It must be fantastic in a kit car. any ideas what it weighs?

thats more than standard power which is very good, is it the exhaust or the removal of some of the engine ancilleries, like power steering?

Removal of the pas/clean air pump/ aircon, I think the ecu's been remapped, the exhaust helps too along with a free flowing filter.
