Raceline Duratec sump dipstick

Anyone who has bought the raceline duratec sump bought the dipstick. Is it needed or can I use the original one as at £45 + vat it's a bit steep!!!

The dipstick tube is actually a flexible hose that fits onto a special boss that screws into the sump. It is crimped at the top with a fixing piece so that you can bolt it somewhere. The actual dipstick is then just a standard focus/mondeo one.

The standard dip stick will not get to the hole in the sump as the engine mount is in the way. I modified mine by replacing part of the lower section with rubber tubeto allow it to flex around the mount - not ideal though.

I think it's a bit confusing from the OP - The original dipstick is fine, but yes the dipstick tube needs to be amended to be flexible. So depends if the OP wants just a replacement dipstick or the tube as well.
