My beleaguered Twink was running hot as well as low pressured (oil ) both to and from Stoneleigh today . Am I correct in thinking lean fuelling could
make an engine run hot . It wasn't a scorcher of a day. Car didn't break down or boil over it just ran too close to the danger paint . Maybe
I was just more vigilant than usual because I was watching the oil pressure . Seemed to improve when I filled up with Shell on the way home or is my
imagination running overtime
by the way I have a continuing issue with running on 3 cyls under some steady running conditions ...... Going to Megasqurt soon so hope to cure that
(and the low oil pressure at the same time)
cheers
Lean duel and/or under advanced ignition.
Oil pressure could be blocked pickup, worn pump, if not its the mains.
Thanks
