hi everyone, i just took the cams off my standard duratec and found there were no friction washers on the cams. Is this normal? i also dont find any mention of them in the service manual either, only the crank one.

i do have it, but it doesnt mension the friction washers on the cams, just their torque setting. it only mentions the crank pulley having them

I can understand using friction washers on the crankshaft due to the oscillating torque being transmitted into the damper from the crankshaft, but wouldn't have thought the camshaft drive needed them.
