Hello,
my 2.0 EFi pinto engine has the big oil filler cap with the piping going to the air inlet manifold pipe.
As this is touching my bonnet , i was thinking in replacing it by a simple oil filler cap.
Will it be a problem if i do not have the pipe from the cap to the inlet manifold? ( as it is i think on the carbs pinto)
or should i put the breather pipe somewhere else in the cam cover ?
Gerardo
Breather from the rocker cover to replace the pipe from the cap or you are likely to get oil mist from the standard cap
I've got an EFI pinto in mine. Single-throttle injection with the breather from the block to the inlet manifold (using the PCV valve of course) combined with the old style "open" oil filler cap. The car is driven quite spiritedly ;-) and I have had zero problems with oil mist or leaking, so it should be fine...
