I'm trying to do my turbo oil feed and am taking oil from the oil gallery plug on the side of the motor. I have been told this is 3/8 NPT but the fitting I bought looks slightly larger and will only thread in about 3 or 4 turns, after tightening I took it out and found no flattened threads or even any of the anodizing scratched off. Is this okay? anyone know what the threads are on the plug? most likley the same for zx10 as well.

I think NPT is a tapered thread therefore it would go tight after a few turns.
