Hi
In which order do I install my fuel pump and filter

I have a petrol tank and the take of at the bottom of the tank is at 1 end
The guy I got it off said the he kept getting a fuel starvation an long left had corners when fuel was low

My intention is to put in a swirl pot to eliviate this problem.

Its feeding a twin choke weber.

In waht order do I fit the fuel pump (facit type) and filter

To I go

Tank, Swirl pot, Pump, Filter, Regulator, Carb

Or

Tank, Swirl pot, Filter, Pump. Regulator, Carb

Thanks

No sure about a carb set up with a pot, but regardless of were the pot is the filter should be before the pump as it is there to stop you damaging the pump as well as stopping crud going into the carbs/injectors

hope this helps

Agreed, first thing from the tank should be the fliter.

In an ideal situation there should be a filter before and after the pump, so any debris from the pump doesn't make it to the carbs/regulator.

If it was just one filter then I would put it after the pump, the pump should have a wire mesh screen on the inlet anyways

There should be a filter before the pump but only a gauze to catch larger debris. A proper filter will restrict the flow to much and cause cavitation in the fuel. Fuel pumps don't like to suck and work best with free flow into them.

I don't think you need a swirl pot with carbs, they have a reservoir.
