I have been trying to set up my dash(ETB DD2) via laptop to get rid of the functions I don't need. I plug in the laptop and it says switch off
engine even when the engine isn't running. Now I have noticed that even with the engine off and ignition on the dash shows around 6000rpm. It
even showed 14500rpm the other day, if anyone can get these revs from a Xflow, I am all ears! Press the throttle with the engine off, revs go up on
the dash. Start the engine and revs shown on the dash become correct(850rpm).
I did have a problem with the throttle not returning fully which I sorted. Ever since, I have had this problem on the digital dash. Now, can I just
rotate the throttle pot until 0 is read on the dash or will this effect anything with the mapping?
It's a ford Xflow, weber twin 40's with mapped ignition. Ford edis coilpack, omex 100 ecu. Rev pickup from the blue ecu wire.
Sorry about the long winded description, I thought the full story may help.
Thanks for any help you can give me.
Changing the the throttle position sensor idle position will affect the mapping of the ignition.
