Hi all.
Installing a Zetec on zx9r carbs. Where is best to mount the bike fuel pump if I decide to do away with the facet pump. Under the tank (in place of the facet pump) or in the engine bay?

I initially had mine in the engine bay where it worked fine. However after a while it started to have problems (it wasn't switching itself off) and I think it was down to an air leak somewhere in the line between the tank and pump [there was no fuel leak].

I moved to a position under the tank where gravity fills the pump and have had no further issues.

I would definitely install it under the tank.

Mine worked fine like this, did 3000miles feeding bike carbs, it now feeds the swirl pot.

By the tank, they are better at pushing fuel than pulling it
