oil pressure & water temp sender

hi guys,
2 questions, but kind of along the same lines.
1. i already have an oil temp sensor on the block of my 1800 cvh - something to do with the ecu - my question is can i replace it with therevotec sender i have for my oil pressure gauge - and join the existing wire to the one going to the 52mm oil pressure gauge, or do i need them both, using a 't' piece?
2. my water temp sender, where and how is the best place to mount it?

cheers

Tom

Not sure about oil.

Water temp are typically mounted towards the highest part of the engine, usually into the head. I've seen them mounted in a T from the header from engine to inlet rad.

I dont know if this helps tom. My engine is 2.0 pinto. It has a pressure sender that operates the low pressure warning light. My new sender is a dual type fow low pressure warning and oil pressure guage - 2 outputs so i can connect two wires.
I also have to connect an oil temp sender - im replacing the oil gallery plug with an adaptor so i can screw in the oil temp sender.

I would have thought you will also have a low oil pressure sender???? Perhaps you can replace this with a dual type to operate theoil pressure gauge as well and leave the oil temp sender alone (try ETB website for potential source).
