I am currently building a Book Locost with live axle. Is it possible to fit a Toyota 20V, even with the locost body work? I assume the sump would have
to be altered as the engine would have to fit relatively low 'cause of the body work....
Any ideas for engine mounts, radiator etc...
Cheers

Have a visit to http://autos.groups.yahoo.com/group/Locost_North_America/
I know there are some building using that engine- The only time I have ever been in one was fitted with the 20v. Went quite nicely.

Hi,as this engine is basically similar to the 4age it will fit almost in the same position .
You could get away without cutting the sump if you keep the engine high up.
I have chopped my 4age sump by 1" but my engine is very low to get the centre of gravity low,and my Indy has 14" sides instead of the
Locosts 13" sides.
They do definately fit into Locosts though, look at Rob Lanes website to see a Toyota fitted into a Locost. It's not too tight and I can vouch for
that as I helped him drop the lump in.
Superb engine especially at 8000rpm
