Hi to all,

I have managed to find a capri axle in good condition with brakes etc for £182 including delivery.. do you guys of experience think that sounds like a fair price?

Cheers, Ross.

I would want LSD for that dosh..If not then thats very expensive delivery, axle should of cost £50 ish

sounds like a ripp off.

you have my already painted and bracketed capri axle for that much if you want. In fact you can have it for 100 or 150 if i deliver

(it sounds a little high, but it depends on the axle, with LSD, fully refurbed with new gaskets / crush washer then prob is about right.)

If it was a fully reconned one the maybe worth it, or lsd. I wouldnt pay that for a standard one straight off a car, 80 quid max.

Thanks for your opinions fellas.. not too sure wot i am going to do..maybe i will fashion my own out of cardboard tubes and duck tape

I paid £100 for a complete 4x4 sierra, sounds far to much, a breaker will want around £75 and thats still steep.

I paid £200 some years ago for a Capri axle....................but...............as mentioned earlier it was an LSD equipped one from a 2.8i special, and I was allowed to strip it to check the diff before paying. The LSD alone is worth £400ish so that's ok.

A std non-lsd axle, as was said, should be £50 tops

In fact I got 2 for £50...
