valve stem seals

Hi folks,
I want to change the valve stem seals on my 1600 Xflow.
I am thinking of replacing them with seals from a CVH, the ones with a flange to sit under the valve springs.
1.Is it possable
2.Would it be better ?

Don't know but have you any specific reason for wanting to change to this type of valve seal.

Yes,
The Xflow type rides up the valve stem not giving much protection. There seems to be a better fit with the CVH top hat type of seal, the spring would hold it over the stem and stop the oil going down into the cylinder head.

Provided the valve stems are the same diameter or maybe very slightly larger than the CVH wouldn't have thought there would be a problemas long as springs don't become coil bound. May even be possible to fit them without taking head off.If valves have a lot of rock in the guides it is possible to get guides replaced.
