Can anyone tell me about the distributers on 3.5 rover V8s. i know there were 3 types fitted throughout the life span of them, but what typpe is fitted to an SDI 3.5? i ask cos mine has seen better days.

The SDI electronic ignition system was an OK bit of kit for what it was intended for. I always used a Mallory electronic distributor though as a base.
It's been a few years since I did any tuning of a RV8, and I'm a bit out of touch. The best bet would be to have a look here.

Also two different types of lower drive key were used depending on the oil pump you are using, early or late.
