Electrical switch from clutch????
Jasper - 9/12/05 at 01:01 PM

The part built car I've bought has an electrical switch from the clutch master cylinder - any ideas why this would be? Original engine would have been a Duratec

Fluid level maybe, or a switch so the car only starts with the clutch down?

Cruise control?

Somebody used a brake master cylinder for the clutch?

Don't worry about it, I'll run it in series with the brake fluid level, that way you get a warning if either level goes down !!

Hi Jasper

Is it a level switch or a pressure switch?

If pressure it may have been to connect to the ecu for full throttle gearchanges

Clutch fluid level sensor

More of a discription would be handy, but if it's got a float attached it has got to be a fluid level warning.
