trigger wheel megajolt
phaeton - 16/12/05 at 07:58 AM

High guys,

I have ordered the great megajolt. I have obtained all the parts except one.
In the Netherlands I can't get a hold on the trigger wheel. I have searched multiple scrappy’s and the only fords that are available in the Netherlands are front-wheel-drive escorts. The few RWD's have a rotor ignition. The problem is obvious:
Where can I get a trigger wheel what does not cost everything?
I hope you guys can help me.

Erik

You could have one made up locally.

I have seen a few installations with self-made trigger wheels

I am sure that there are dimensions on the Megajolt forum for the 36-1 trigger wheel.

Some people modify and use the one off an 1800CVH Sierra engine.

Or be a complete cheapskate (locoster?) like me and make your own.

Don't forget to bend / cut out the correct -1 tooth.

Eventually i have ordered the trigger-wheel on www.trigger-wheel.com . Great service and instant delivery. The rest of the megajolt system has been installed. So I have to mount the trigger wheel and then start the engine. Let’s hope It will work at ones !!

I think you'll find it likely that the 2 suppliers above are one and the same.

Yep, www.trigger-wheels.com is me, as are the ones from ebay.

Just to give you a heads up, now that I've got the 7.25 and 8.25" wheels in stock they're a lot more metal in them so are more costly to make and to post. The prices for the 7.25 and 8.25 wheels on the website are what I will be charging there from now on, however if you get in quickly you can still get the larger wheels at the lower price on ebay. If you want those sizes then you need to get in fast here: http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=8026825773
