G'day,

Are the SD1 and Range rover flywheels any different, I have been told one is heavier than the other but does it matter which I get

This just copied straight from Rimmers site!

All parts listed are suitable for saloon,sports and 4x4 applications unless otherwise stated.

Flywheel - manual (includes ring gear);
Saloon/Sports (suitable for 9.5"/240mm clutch)
Standard - (1) - 612368
Lightened - (1) - 612368LIGHT
Range Rover (suitable for 10.5"/266.5mm clutch)
Note: Will not fit inside standard saloon/sports bellhousing.
All Classic Models - (1) - ERR5575
Series 2 Range Rover - (1) - ERR5396

Range Rover is heavier and has diffrent clutch. I have a P6 flywheel surplus to requirements, it was outside for a while on the engine before I got it. U2U if your interested and i'll get some photo's.

ISTR P6 is different to SDI , Think it uses a smaller clutch ? and possibly smaller diameter?

Range rover is a bit heavier, the front pulleys are also differently weighted apparantly so if you get an SD1 then use its pulley also.
