Following my post of a couple of days ago, I could not find a bike shop that did (inner) cable off the roll, then went to a larger bike shop, 4 of them discussed it among themselves where I could get a 3m cable, then one of them clicked, a tandem bike brake cable!! So obvious its annoying! 312 cm long and £3.50. perfect.
Always the way.
A 3m long throttle cable? My whole car is only 3.3m long!
I'd have a close look at the gear cables for indexed derailleurs - they must do 'em for tandems too - these can be got really smoothe &
easy running.

I had to replace my throttle cable this weekend after a friend sat in the car and thought "hmmm i wonder if this throttle cable goes all the way
to the floor.....SNAP!"
Didn't need a long one so got a standard cable from a bicycle shop, but later that day noticed that my local B&Q sold what appears to be the
same guage wire on a roll. So if you want 10 metres, 10 metres you could have!
My next step will be to make a rubber stop for behind the pedal
Yeah it is a long throttle cable, mainly because it is a midi and i'm being careful to make all the curves gradual, ended up at 2.8m long.
A hint for the stop, make it STRONG.
