Hi all can you please tel me is it best to put the fuel filter between the tank and pump or between the pump and carbs i am using a pump of a kawasaki
zx9r bike thankyou Graham
Are you using the remote pump ie not inside the fuel tank? If so put it after the tank but before the fuel pump.
Flush the system out well before using just to make sure you don't get any crap in the carbs.
We are using two filters one inside the tank (local pump) and one before the common rail. The second one near the engine is larger and more fine to
remove finer particulates - although it could be removed now I guess.
Graham, I'd put a filter just before the carbs. Doesn't the ZX9 pump have a built in filter?
Phil
Remove the filter before the fuel rail

Tell me you're joking Steve

I think I'd put it before the pump.
At Elvington, my pump got blocked with a bit of sealer from the tank which wouldn't have happened if i'd put the filter in the right place
(as in the instructions which came with the pump)
So in beteen the tank and pump if I were you mate
Cheers
Mark
Phil = Steve the pump i have has no filter on it that i can see it is a external pump thanks Graham
THankyou Mark will do that then Graham

Hi Graham, your always best using 2 filter's, one between the tank and pump and one between the pump and carbs/injectors this stops any bits getting to the engine parts should yhe pump let go.
