Room for alternator

Anyone got any pickies of a std alternator fitted to a pinto in a book chassis?

I've now got a hole in my head where I have been scratching it trying to figure a way of fitting it!

you need to raise the alternator a few inches to get clearance, ill send a pic of one of merlins brackets to give you an idea

I had this problem and If its any help, and perhaps another alternative:-....
I ended up using an alty from a Diahatsu Hijet van. Its about half the size ( and weight) of the pinto unit, puts out about 40A and fits snug high up under the manifold. You'll still need to fabricate a bracket though
