JUst a quick question for all you guru's put there.

Are all type 9 output shafts the same size?

Also the same for the Mk2 escort diff flange. Are they all the same.

Thanks for anyhelp. Much appreciated.

I beleive that some type 9 shafts are longer than others.

Yes - those designed for V6 engines are a little longer...

Yup, all type 9 output shafts are the same, and all "English" diff flanges are too, but a few mk2 escys had salisbury axles, which are different.

If the entire carrier bolts into the axle casing then it's an english

There is actually to sizes of diff flange fitted to english axles, the larger size also fitted to sierras etc and a smaller one that was used on earlier and 1100 cc cars as far as i know.
My axle came from a 1100 saloon and had the small flange, I had to swap it with one from another diff to suit my prop with the larger flanges, so worth checking your diff flange size before ordering.

Ordered my Prop from D&F. The 2 diff flanges are 109mm and 87mm. He says the smaller is rare.
