Weight of naked block?

Anybody know the weight of a naked 1600 X-flow block?

Need to take it for some machining, and wonder if I can take it in the trunk of my car.

Thanks, /Hasse

Hi there

Yes should be fine, I once had a lancia twin cam complete in the boot of the car.

Recently bought a ZX9R bike engine, again no probs in the boot.

Cheers

a bare xflow block is an easy 1 man lift. It weighs much less than an adult passenger, so it won't worry your back suspension in any way at all.

As already stated the bare block is a one man lift, so you will be fine, just remember to wrap some rag around the main caps before using them to lift the block buy as the edges can be sharp!!
