Mitsubishi bike fuel pump, which is in/out?

Stupid question I know, but which is which?
I'd guess that the filter is before the pump, but is it?

My gut feeling is the same as you, especially as the braided high pressure line is probably the output

Yep, tank to filter then to pump and from pump to engine

The filter has an arrow on it if you look close.

Label the two metal pipes on the top as well so that when you take everything off, it's easy to remember.

I did look at the filter thinking it should have, even slipped it out of its rubber retainer. Couldn't see anything.

Good tip on the labelling of the pipes, although I now have this thread

Hi Chris.

What's that pump off and do you know the output pressure? I'm looking for something around 43psi for FI.

Thats a bike carb pump so will only give a couple of PSI, and from what I remember it was 10mm pipe out the tank, through the filter then pumping into 8mm pipe.

Usually for FI you'll find the pumps go higher pressure than required so a seperate regulator is used to bring it back down. For my FI R1 install I used a Bosch pump (as used on an EFI V8 Range Rover I think) and the stock bike regulator on the end of the fuel rail.
