Inline Fuel Filter - 12mm HELP

Hi guys,

I need to put a fuel filter in between my tank and pump - 12mm tank outlet and 12mm fuel pump inlet.

Therefore I thought a 12mm fuel filter would be the best option.

It needs to be high flow - sounds simple huh!

WRONG

I can't find one.. well I say 'cant' - Demon Thieves want £50+ for one - I don't want the shop - just the f'king filter

Call Think Auto....they'll mix and match fittings to get what you want.

The bullet filter that dt and burtons etc sell is the most commonly available - I've got the fse swirl pot that has a built in filter and 12mm outlet so gets round the problem that way.

Otherwise as already suggested think auto would be my next move..

What about some of the older v/hall injection filters they had rolled ends for pipes and jubille clip type fittings and must have been around 10 or 12 mm

The external pump cav/cally's have 12mm outlets and the filter is external so is 12mm in/out. Its a large beast though.

Omega - yeah I had heard that too - I'll do some investigation - the only prob I have is that the space is tight at the back, so needs to be quite a small filter...

LOL - hmm I discounted it as it was only 10mm :-(

If I get that I need reducers :-(

Had this one a few times mate, three answers. One is just don't bother with a filter on the injection pickup side, most production cars don't.

Next is the pickup filter from a Manta GTE, these had a very small plastic filter with a washable gauze in it on the pickup side of the pump.

Next is to use the bosch injection pump fitted to "some" peugeot 405 injections (and no doubt some other cars as well) which had an inbuilt gauze inside the inlet barb)
