What type of spigot bearing did people ask for when they got theres from ford?

Was it 1.6 sierra or X-flow.

P.S. the grearbox is type 9 to X-flow.

Don't think it matters, I'm fairly sure that all spigot bearings for 4 cylinder fords are the same.

No sorry KingR, 4 speed spigot bearings are different to 5 speed ones, I know this from bitter experience!!!

Your x flow will have a 4 sp bearing, you need to knock it out and put a five speed one in, the five speed one is 1.4 mm bigger.

Go to a model shop, they'll sell you a bag of about a thousand headless matches for a couple of quid!
