Polo radiator question
chrsgrain - 31/3/06 at 02:26 PM

Hi all,

trying to get the cooling system sorted - have gone for a polo rad. Does anyone know which fan thermostat (if tha's what it is!) goes in the large hole in the back of the rad??

That's a thermal switch for the fan isn't it?

They're also used in Sierras. I got an 82 degree one from a Cossie.

yep and as Ned says, GM too. Astra, cavalier, calibra etc etc the choice is yours.

some peugots i think, ask your local motor factor, match the thread then choose the temp you want.

Got one!

Thanks for the advice - the M22 by 1.5 is right - went to the motor factors to pick up the hoses I'd ordered earlier, and picked one out of the catalogue - the M22 by 1.5 is used in a vast array of cars - so as per the advice I picked the temp I wanted and got one from stock - think its an Opel one as fitted to lots of Atras - also picked one with exposed terminals so if any soldering is needed it will be easier...

Thanks for all the help!

Chris
