weber carbs/throttle bodies
Is it possible to swap the standard efi injection unit on a 2.0 DOHCi Sierra for something like a webber carb, what are the pros and cons and also
prices for the carbs would be good and thier codes. Also i presume that the carb would be lower than the efi unit under the bonnet.
Is this possible to do or can you infact use throttle bodies?
If either whats better - prices - codes - where best to buy.
Give your honest opinions thanks guys!
I fitted a 38DGAS to an injection 2.0 pinto lump with no problems. I have heard that you sometimes have to watch aftermarket manifolds as they may not
fully cover the area in the head where the injectors once sat. My manifold was std ford and fitted no problem.
Not sure about the DOHC head but would have thought it was doable. Many injection cars have been converted to carbs in the past ( i know of Golf
Gti's and Pug 205's)
The early ones came with carb so there is a manifold available. The 4 stud carb fitting is common to a few Ford Webers so you should be able to find something and get it jetted.
