Temp Sender Location?
Surrey Dave - 9/4/06 at 07:48 PM

Have modified my 1800cvh with a bike carb inlet manifold ,and a FWD cvh thermostat housing has been placed on the rear of the head.

I fitted the original temp sender through the new inlet manifold plate into the water jacket,it is now not near the thermostat, it appears to read very low.

There is no drilling on the head at the rear near the FWD thermo housing, so I may be getting a false reading the car runs OK appears to get up to temp and does not boil or lose water.

Is it possible I would get an accurate reading by fittng the temp sensor in the top hose?

I would fit the temp sender in the hose where the hot water comes out of the engine, as this will be the hottest part of the water circuit.

Thats what I would do. However... Its up to you!.

Yep, that's the best place and gives an more accurate reading

Where is the best place to get one of these hose adaptors?
