hesitation when hot
ady8077 - 17/4/06 at 10:52 AM

Hi all

After about 1/2 hour of driving I’m getting hesitation when I floor the throttle from low revs, its a 2.0 pinto on twin 45's

I'm wondering if its excess heat affecting the petrol/carbs?

Mines the same with normal twinchoke weber, when on a run its fine but as soon as i hit traffic i have now worked out that the fan needs to come on a bit early.

I've wired an override switch on the fan to switch from the dash, it does seem to help but i have been told that pintos do not like running hot.

in fact the problem is that you fueling is to rich...

sow i recommend a rolling road session at 90degrees...

offcourse shouldn't the engine run at 95...

Tks

Hi

temp guage only gets to about 95, but it does seem worst when in traffic, it might be running a little rich as theres always a little soot around the exhaust
