Flywheel bolts for Zetec - pinto
Krismc - 1/5/06 at 04:31 PM

....ive got a 2 litre zetec unit and got a flywheel from a pinto lightened and balanced, i was told i would require the bolts to be shorter, spacers put in between or replaced with shorter ones from a automatic! due to the fact the original ones are too long and lock the crank- asked at a few nut and bolt places and they dont do them, i tried ford and the cant help without me telling them exactally what car!!

does anyone know which automatic flywheel had the 2-3mm shorted bolts than than 2.0 zetec!

cheers kris

took the bolt and he couldnt tell me the sizes on the computer only the part numbers, plus all auto stuff is special order!

so if i buy the wrong ones ill be stuck with them!! and they aint cheap and i dont fancy lobbing a bit of the ends on such a lightened and balanced piece of equipment

Or send us a self addressed jiffy bag and ill give you a s/h set of 6.

they want a good clean as they have been in my nuts and bolts tin for a year or so. And will want a good smear of thread lock to avoid an oil leak.

Pic shows 6 short ones infront of four longer ones. From an auto Mondeo
