What a good and well known brand of liquid gasket?
Im not using it, my housemate has designed a Formula Student gearbox for his Masters project and needs to know a decent brand. Just for his write up
really.
Cheers
I would not use instant gasket if I could avoid it. If I had to use silicone I would just use a high modulus bathroom sealant. What I would do is cut paper/fibre gaskets and use a very thin smear of Hylomar (Hermetite) Blue, or Golden if it can be found.
Wellseal, you can get it on Ebay about £10 a tube.
A very good sealant that does not fully set and does not form 'strings' that can fall off on the inside and block oilways.
Yep, Wellseal or Rhodorseal
Loctite do a grade that hardens Rover used it very effectively on the K series engines which were a more or less gasketless design.
Rover part number was GGC 108
