U2U sent ref Deneo
cheers ive sent him a U2U - so i may have the manifold sorted can anyone tell me anything else i would need, i would like to try and get the stuff ordered ASAP- like the filters, hosing joints and pipe work, throttle linkage etc

Read this thoroughly, tells you most of what you need.
HTH,
James
great but most the file links and the jpegs no longer exsist and im no further forward as people contradict each other or is it just that there is
more than one way to skin a cat??
all i need to know is how to dismantle the unit, what do i keep?
what do i need to put back together and do i need a special throttle linkage and sensor??
Kris,
Slow down mate
Paul's sorting you out some stuff already - he'll advise on what to do.
You do need a custom manifold - so best to send your TB's off to a company to make one - and the gasket for the inlet manifold - that's how
I did mine.
You'll then need to connect together - I used 45mm pipe from Burton Power and 2 jubilee clips to do mine from Inlet ---> TB. then 52mm pipe
for TB ---> Trumpets, again with 2 jubilee clips.
Next get some Aluminium Trumpets from www.performancecentre.co.uk - you want the ITG Bare Spun Aluminium (bout £5.00 each).
You'll then need a new fuel rail - with an inlet and outlet 8mm pipe. Jenvey supply fuel rails for about £20-£30 - you just have to cut it for
your injectors.
You'll also need a Fuel Pressure Regulator - Ebay is a good bet - or new for about 60-70quid.
Keep everything standard - fuel pipe is 8mm.
The clips you want are fuel hose clips - Car Builder Solutions or Merlin Motorsport - or local motorfactor.
Don't dismantle the unit - you need pretty much everything on there
It's best to research everything carefully and approach with caution - this is not a 'bolt together' solution - I've just done all
the above and found out my fckuing alternator won't fit under the TB's!!!
But - when it is complete the sense of achievement and satisfaction is immense (so I'm told
)

I know ya eager mate - so am I - it's just more annoying buying loadsa stuff that AINT needed, because things were rushed or not properly researched![]()
I'll help as much as I can - doing a similar install.
I'd advise trying to go and see a car with the install done - or near to done - you'll come away with a much better picture of requirements then![]()

And was i roughly right about the pipe lenght and size?
My (rough) list so far
1) PIPE 30mm x 52mm (x4)
2) PIPE 30mm x 45mm(x4) in samco!
3) 16 jubilee clips (smooth pipe type)
4) fuel regulator?? (which one)
im going to try and keep the spacing on the bike TBs the same and im not going to split them!

DarrenW - 4/5/06 at 10:38 PMKris,
When speccing the pipes say which is diameter (the other will be assumed to be length).
Im pleased Deneo will be able to help you out (i dont suppose he mentioned my manifold did he?)
If you are going for throttle bodies will you also need a swirl pot adding to your list? May also need oil catch tank (Deneo should be able to sort you out)
Krismc - 5/5/06 at 02:25 PMwhat is a oil catch and swirl?
And where do they fit??
and yea he said possibly next week for your manifold, i only spoke to him about it, i dont think is making me one- not sure
Krismc - 5/5/06 at 02:46 PMah i cant use samco cause apparently it isnt fuel resistant!
