I'll try and find the thread, but from memory, you want to run a distributor with a modified curve from "h & h" at around £160 (cash).

I'll start digging....

H&H Ignition solutions, http://www.h-h-ignitionsolutions.co.uk/ are apparently the guys to talk to.

The thread I had in mind was with regards to using the 1.6 cav dist. on an XE with bike carbs.

Loads of threads over on migweb with regards to advance curves etc but none I can find with an answer to the question of what the standard one runs.

Apparently the 2L 8v should have 12deg advance at idle and 30 deg total advance at 4000rpm and above on 45's.

Bugger that, for that money you could get a megasquirt ECU, flog the carbs and they would pay for the rest of the EFI setup and allow you to be FULLY programable for both fuel and ignition with no spluttery carb thingys

Regards

I guess if you've got a dist pack XE and need a dizzy, £160 for a brand new one, premodified to work, is good though.

I'd go bike TB's all the way
Then again I can't as there's a kkk on the side of mine

See my edit in my first post. Gives some idea of what you need, although no idea how you do that in practice.

Somebody like ned or NS Dev may know. Failing that, pop over to Migweb

Give me till tomorrow nite and I'll get you the numbers off my map on the MBE box, if that's of any use to you, its a std engine internally mapped for super unleaded.
