fellowes - 20/5/06 at 01:00 PM

Wonder if someone can tell me if I installed my spigot bearing wrong. I insterted it chamfer end into the crankshaft. Is this the correct way? If not, what issues do people see if I leave it this way
thanks

Is it a needle roller? If so dont they have a little lip seal on one end which faces outwards.
Steve.

I believe that some have the seal but not all.
The one that I got from Fords didn't have it.

Does it really matter if it is installed the wrong way, as mine is in but i dont remember which way i installed it.

Theres 2 different ones isnt there? I has a seal and one doesnt IIRC. The one without is cheaper.

It shouldnt make alot of difference which way its in aslong as the shaft still slides into it.

Im sure i paid about £8 for mine, but i went to ford to get another one a couple weeks ago they quoted me £25ish. Although they dont have any left apparently most of the stock that is over 10 years old has been sold of to a company called Nu Ford?
