Hi,

its an ignition controller, basically replaces the distributor on your engine, and controls the advance/retard of the spark timing(normally using a ford EDIS unit and coilpackin place of your ignition coil)

a megajolt is programmable, and takes into account engine load and varies the timing to suit.

Megajolt is easy to wire up especially if u are running a zetec which has the crank sensor already there. Otherwise you have to have a trigger wheel on the crank pulley.

Have a look here

It will help you with what u need to know.
