Where can i buy a reasonably priced Gasket set for my Pinto engine online? Im ready to put it all back together now so need all the gaskets but burton power only sell them singularly and seem a bit pricey

havent you got a local engine buiders? or motor factors?

stephen_gusterson - 21/4/03 at 10:46 PM

a motor factor would be best, but if you need individual ones ford dealers will sell seperate gaskets

try Burtons,

Burton Power

it does help if you have their catalogue though so you can search on part number.

We're just down the road from you at Newark should you wish to visit. Full gasket set for Pinto is £23 (including the VAT). Ring first - 01636 671715

David, do you do gasket sets for 1700 x-flows?
I need complete set, Vulcan are charging 48+vat.

Yes, for anything really. A Payen set, which is about as good as they get, would be less than half that.

Cheers David, I'll give you a ring next week and arrange to pick one up.

Don't happen to do Zetec gasket kits as well ?

david walker - 23/4/03 at 09:35 PM

Yes anything for a Zetec, please send a U2U.

Great, about to start rebuilding my 2.0L Zetec and will need gaskets, cylinder head bolts and possibly bottom end bolts (hopefully not bearings !!)

Can you U2U me your contact details ?

thanks

david walker - 24/4/03 at 08:39 PM

You'll be very unlucky if you find crank/bearing problem with a Zetec. Unlike Vauxhalls rod bolts are also OK so wouldn't advise disturbing too much.

U2U sent.
