Renault 1800 16V Williams with mx-5 miata transmission

Hi
I just start to build the second locost, from the engine conversion with transmission.
The mx-5 miata trans, has the same ratio with the renault trans and I will use at the rear,Sierra cosworth Lsd 2wd 3,64 ratio.
I don't know yet the changes at the chassis constraction, in compare with live axle.

Wouldn't you be better off, or at least make life easier for yourself, by using the MX5 rear axle as well?
