i would really like a stainless manifold

how much is it going to cost and who
makes them ..........
i would ideally like an over the side type
anyone got recomendations

Look up NS Dev's home made XE exhaust then see how busy he is (he's nearly always too busy - but you never know). It would probably take him a weekend and he'd need your car (his is a standard chassis so he could guess, but is it worth it?). I wouldn't like to guess how much but i'm sure it would be cheaper than a professional one.

From the pic I saw of NS Dev's his WAS a professional one.

it would be cheeper than one made to a similar standard by a company who do it for a living.

that I can help with, speak to SDW Light Fabrications in banbury (do a google and you'll find their details) they will make all the bends for you to order, mandrel bent and for less than mild steel ones from most places. Enough bends and tube to do 2 manifolds cost me £200.

You make the collectors yourself from pairs of 30 degree bends, look in my archive and you'll see ehat I mean, also Simpson Race Exhausts have a good section on their website

completely agree, tig machines are not cheap, but when you compare the price of a "professionally made" manifold against what you can do with a tig, the machine cost pretty much gets absorbed on the first job. welding stainless with tig is not too tricky either (though I will say my pipe the flange welds don't look as neat as Calvin's, but then they get harder as you do the latter pipes, almost impossible to get zero weld gap as you have to fit the latter pipes between flange and existing pipe!)

clearence on full lock ?
i fancied dropping them over the side and
then 90 bend to the collector with a little kink in the link pipe
