Fuel Line
The Doc - 3/8/06 at 10:59 AM

Hi Folks

I have some 6mm copper brake pipe - this ok for the fuel line?

Also - are there any specs attached to the flexis at either end i.e. does that need to show any markings or is the reinforced clear plastic stuff OK?

There is talk of having to prove to some sva testers that the fuel line is made and intended for that use but i would have to check the old manual again. I believe they are more interested in the filler neck material than the fuel line itself.
Also outputs on tanks/senders is usually 8mm.

i used micro copper for house hold plumbing on mine. 8mm i think

I used 8mm dia copper for fixed lines. Any rubber hose must be made for use with fuel. SVA man will look for evidence of this, by way of markings etc. When you buy some, make the intended use clear to the supplier.
