Does anybody have a copy of their map that they could email me so we can compare it ?

He's using MBE and Easimap 5
But any Brand ECU will do....

Stick a post in the Mech/Elec forum on Migweb, loads of XE users with MBE on there.

If he's using the standard Temp sender (the 2 wire on on the Thermostat housing) that could be faulty.

Not sure if its temp is displayed in the tuneing software but on the standard set-up they go faulty and cause it to run rich (as if the chokes on)

Checked that one, Thanks

Removed Coolant Temp' sensor and checked Resistance as We placed it in Hot water and then let it cool down,
Seemed fine
Reading ok when i plug the Laptop in and check it in Easimap 5 aswell

Fuel pressure been checked
TPS checked
etc etc

Just need a map to compare...

What injectors and what fpr is he running?

Would it be a good guess that it was the same guy who Blatman corrected about a MAP not being a map?

Edit: Just noticed, that was you too You're mate isn't your alter ego?

Cream injectors mate, which according to SBD are Too small really and He needs to go bigger.
Fuel pressure is set as per SBD's info' which is 60psi
(we've tried it less than that but still no good)
The lads spent alot of money on new pistons, rebore etc and is getting Neat fuel sitting on top of the pistons

Told Him to stop trying to run it at the moment,
worried he's going to kill it with Bore wash

It was Me that Blatman 'Corrected'
That'll teach me for using capitals
I stood in the corner with me hands on me head for 30 min's

not had chance to read off of the above.

Yep, have several MBE 956 maps for VX on 48mm or 45mm throttle bodies but the problem sounds more than mapping??

If you want a copy of the map email me on n.seviour@ntlworld.com.

He has verified voltage on throttle pot at closed throttle position etc etc hasn't he?

email or u2u for more info.

Just an Update if Anybody has a similar problem

After checking the Crank sensor with an Ocilescope it was giving some very strange readings under 3000rpm
Crank sensor was Changed But the Over fuelling problem was still there

Sent MBE ECU to Steve at SBD and He found an Internal problem with it

Fixed it, sent back by special delivery, fitted to the VX and it runs a good'un

Thanks for the Sugestions
