Do i need a fuel pump?

When i got my 2.0 pinto from MK the part where the fuel pump attaches to the engine is blanked and no inline fuel pump was supplied? Question is do i need one or is there some kind of vaccum in my pierburg 2E carb? help needed, thanks

As you've already guessed, you'll need soemthing to pump the fuel up to the carb. Most use an electronic pump of some sort.

presumably the carb you have is just a standard sierra carb? if so then all you'll be wanting is a normal mechanical lift pump.

an electronic pump on a standard carb imo is way over the top!

very much like that one! not sure if the transit runs at the same rate but i can't see it being a massive difference. think they are only about 15 quid from most motor factors.
