Engine position

Sorry if this is a dumb question but does it matter if my engine is not central in the engine bay?
I am trying to put a V6 Cologne into an old Robin Hood (stainless steel monocoque S7). The engine needs to go further back but is restricted by the position of the servo. Lowering helps to a degree but is not the whole answer. Can I position a V-engine over to the nearside without any weight distribution problems?
Thanks
Robin

Since these cars are so light, it would probably be a good thing because it should counterbalance the weight of the driver.

Bike engines are mounted on the nearside.

Chuck the servo in the bin, the car will be much more driveable without it and make your engine fitting much easier.
