the rover V8 is in fact lighter than the essex V6

A company called "mellard" will supply steel that is fully cut to length and angle for the locost chassis for £70 delivered (this will make the chassis and transmission tunnel with a 2mm wall thickness) (01782 744777) they are based in stoke but i belive they will deliver nationwide

Airproducts charge £21.50 per refill on the medium co2/argon mix with a 30p/day rental wheras BOC charge £42 per refill with a £52 Rental charge

So if you were to get all of you RHS chassis tubes cut and you welded them over a month Airproducts would be much cheaper than BOC.
