Hi All,

Does anyone know which 1.8 Zetec (Silver Top) engine spec the following cyclinder head number refers to? Is it the 105/115bhp or the 130bhp head? I'm lead to believe it's the 130 but I'm not sure.

958M 6090BC

Not sure if it's been in anything. It's a new engine done zero miles apparently, all ports are sealed. The previous owner bought it "Unused from a kit car garage " All I know is the Cylinder Head number 958M 6090BC.

Hi the only real way to know what psi engine you have is to check the cams by looking at thier casting rings between the cam lobes.

cheers matt

The number on mine starts with RY then some numbers then ends with RKA, not the same as suggested above so what does this mean??????????????

Stuart G's engine codes specify the the engine type. You hare quoting the engine serial number.

A Ford engine number starting with RY means it was manufactured in February 1994

If you send the engine number to for they will tell you not only the age but if it is a 115 or a 130

Yip it's the one off ebay. The 130 would be a nice to have and as you say it's not hard to convert with a set of cams. As it's a direct replacent for my current engine so having a Zero miler is a plus. Hope to have it in this weekend : )
