I've been offered a set of Solex 40 carbs for an extremely reasonable price...

Anyone used them, as last time I came across them they were on an Alfa and a complete pig to tune...

Webers seem too much money, and in all honesty I'd prefer Dell'Ortos..!

Avoid them, getting parts for the solex sidedraughts is not easy.

Parts aren't normally a problem - Mikuni and Dell'Orto stock most of the standard gaskets, chokes and bleed screws etc.

Pair of Dell'Orto 50s would be nice tho...
