Fuel pressure to feed R6 carbs on a zetec ?
any clues lads
When setting up my blackbird carbs with my R1 pump, I fitted a regulator to play with the pressure. The fuel pump would cut out with the reg set to
1/2 - 1psi and wouldn't run at all above this. So I guess not much at all. I run the setup without a reg at all now. The pump runs until it
senses back pressure in the fuel line (needle valves in float bowls closed) then shuts off.
If you are thinking of using a car pump (like a facet etc), you'll probably find you can't get the pressure low enough. Get a bike one from
ebay, it shouldn't cost much. Look for one from a carbed R1 / R6 etc.

I've got an R1 and a R6 pump here,i'm wondering if they will work as my tank pic up is on the top and bikes are initially fed by gravity
into the pump.
How is yours set up ?
Also i forgot all about those cams,we will have to sort out the postage.

Bob my pic up is on the tpo too and it all ok its been like that for 1year now Jacko
Mine pump is mounted horizontally about level with the bottom of the tank. It is also fed from the bottom of the tank.
I'd forgotten about the cams, I'll dig them out today and get them weighed.
