
Yet more questions!
For my twin bike setup, it has just occurred to me while mulling over what sprockets I need to order, that I could get them made to fit the Ford 100mm
Lobro joint bolt circle. I could then get a load of bosses made for all the sprockets, which would also work as cv joint bosses also.
Question is, will the 6 x M8 fastening of a ford lobro be enough to mount the bike sprockets??????
They must be able to take the torque as they will be driving the wheels anyway, (obviously!!! ) but what about the load imparted by the chain tension
under power???
Any ideas?
It would help in that I could farm out making 6 bosses to somebody else, saving me time!!
I originally had 6 x M8's on each rear sprocket, never had any problem but when I lowered the gearing last winter upgraded to 6 x M10.
Wouldn't think you'd have any probs with6 x M8.
6 x M8 should be fine, though I would ensure that your bolts have a decent shank through the sprocket as opposed to threads.
cool, had a look at the lobro bolt circle and it certainly looks big enough in the flesh.
This is good news, as I can standardise the bosses to mount all the sprockets and the cv joints to the two shafts.
Have you spoken with Douglas at Westgarage Engineering? He's been adapting Sierra LSD differentials to chaindrive for some time now with
excellent results. I'm very happy with mine. He certainly would have some good advise about how to affix the sprocket to the drive securely.

mmmm, interesting. Downside is I don't actually need a diff, just the outputs.
Not saying they are not worth it, but the prices look highish too, those driveshafts at £200 each can be had for £80 each elsewhere, made to the same
std.

B&C Express will make up custom sprockets, I had mine made up to fit on instead of the crown - but i'm sure they could sort you out with
loboro mounting ones...
